Visualization
Graphlytic is used to analyze and visualize connected data (graph data). Graphlytic provides various graphical representations of data, and these representations are called "a visualization" (see Graphlytic concepts).
Open current visualization
-
Press button "switch to current visualization" - graph icon with the name of currently opened visualization on the left side of the top menu
Start a new visualization
-
Save all changes in current visualization
-
Go to Search page - click on Search icon in Left menu (magnifier icon)
-
Enter a search string into the search field
-
Select elements:
-
select 1 element: click on a found record
-
select multiple elements: hold CTRL and click on records
-
select multiple elements as a area: click on the first record in area, then hold SHIFT and click on the last record in area. All consecutive elements will be selected
-
-
Press button "New visualization"
-
A screen with the new visualization is opened and all selected elements are shown
Add elements into current visualization
-
Suppose there is a visualization with some elements
-
Go to the Search page - click on Search icon in left menu
-
Note: your open visualization will be saved in background and you can always go back by clicking the Graphlytic icon in left top corner so you don't need to worry about loosing it.

Visualization Screen
Screen contains several components:
Workspace
Contains elements from the database which are visualized as a graph. You can interactively manipulate these elements (for example move them to rearrange the graph). See Workspace.
Zoom panel
You can use it to zoom or center the view. See Zoom panel.
Tools panel
You can use the tools in the Tools panel to manipulate elements in a graph: move them, change their layout. See Tools panel.
Control panel
You can use them to search in elements, to show all attributes of elements, configure style of visualization. See Control panel.
